WELCOME TO THE INTERNATIONAL LAWN TENNIS CLUB OF IRELAND
To set the game above renown,
To love the game beyond the prize,
To honour, while you strike him down,
The foe that comes with fearless eyes,
To count the life of battle good,
And dear the land that gave you birth,
And dearer yet the brotherhood,
That binds the brave of all the earth.

-Sir Henry Newbolt...

Tribute to Tommy Burke RIP
The Irish IC is very saddened to inform you of the passing of our President, Tommy Burke on Friday19th August. Tommy was one of the finest tennis players that Ireland has produced having represented Ireland at Davis and Kings Cup. Tommy was a gentleman both on and off the court. He will be missed by his many tennis friends at home and abroad. His passing is a terrible loss to his family and to the wider tennis community. Tommy worked hard on tennis committees to the benefit of Fitzwilliam and Lansdowne LTCs and his vision with regard to new court surfaces and junior development will live on. His contributions to Irish tennis as a very skillful player have been significant and his record will stand long into the future.
May he play well in Heaven.

AIMS OF THE INTERNATIONAL LAWN TENNIS CLUB OF IRELAND

To promote friendship and sportmanship in tennis between Ireland and other countries across the life cycle by hosting fixtures with other IC countries, by supporting tennis development in Ireland and by providing mentorship for young Irish players.
